Delete Your Account & Data
Last updated: 16 July 2026
You can delete your ParentPulse account and the personal data associated with it at any time. Deletion is permanent — check-in history, streaks, and settings cannot be recovered afterwards.
How to delete your account
- In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate after you confirm.
- By email: send a request to support@getparentpulse.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm the request and complete the deletion.
What gets deleted
- Your account (email, name, login credentials)
- All care-recipient profiles you created (names, phone numbers, languages, schedules)
- Check-in history, alerts, and escalation records
- Medication lists and reminder confirmations
- Emergency contacts
- Moments photos and captions shared by your family
- Device push-notification tokens
- Call and message delivery logs linked to your family
Daily check-in calls and messages to your parent stop immediately when the account is deleted.
What we keep, and why
- Payment and invoice records — retained as required by Indian tax and accounting law (typically 8 years), held by us and Razorpay.
- Aggregated, anonymised statistics (e.g., overall check-in success rates) that contain no personal data.
Timeline
- Deletion requests are acknowledged within 72 hours.
- All personal data listed above is erased within 30 days of the confirmed request.
- Backup copies are purged in the following backup rotation, within a further 30 days.
Deleting one care recipient only
You don’t need to delete your whole account to remove one person — remove them in the app, or email us, and their profile, check-in history, and logs are erased on the same 30-day timeline while your account stays active. If a care recipient themselves asks us to stop, we honour that directly — their consent always controls whether check-ins happen.
